flauは2015年より新たなプロジェクトとして「raum」をスタートさせます。raumの第一弾リリースはポストSeefeel/Lukid的なダウンビートで注目を浴びたLotide名義での活動や、Where To Now?からのミュージック・コンクレート作品で知られるD.Hansenによる新たなプロジェクト Stefan Jós。Opal TapesからのAustin CesearとのスプリットEPやLotide名義で聴かれていたメランコリックなパッドのレイヤーや、主となる旋律の要素を極限にまで排し、Moritz von Oswald TrioやRicardo Villalobosにも通じるミニマルなビートとパーカッシヴな具体音に細かな音響処理を施し、遊び心溢れる電子音を付与することで肉体的なグルーヴの中に豊潤なテクスチュアの変化を体感できる作品になっています。
マスタリングをDemdike Stare、Milie & Andreaなどで活躍するMiles Whittaker、カッティングを長年Dubplates & Masteringでオーナーを務めて来た[LUPO]ことAndreas Lubichが担当。

The (mixed) CD version of 'K' is a favourite of mine. So lush. So deep. Especially the build up to the finale of Untitled(1) aka K3. So I thought I'd pick up this digital version to have the separate tracks. Was shocked to find out that it puts them in an entirely different order! Worse yet, they were just split and faded in/out - the orig studio versions weren't used. So, for the best experience, I recommend changing the order to: K4, K1, K3; K6, K5, K2, K7. - or best yet, find a CD version. Simon Chester
