First album from composer and multi-instrumentalist Kanazu Tomoyuki, featuring guest appearances by aus, Atsuko Hatano, Musica Easel, Cuushe and Tomota Kitamura (popo). The tracks are split between instrumental neo-classical pieces featuring piano, saxophones, woodwinds and strings, and songs with vocals and drums. Of these, the second track is the only one with English lyrics, and appears to be about reincarnation and finding truth inside yourself. The sixth track features vocals by Mujika Easel whose voice is reminiscent of Shara Worden’s, and the last track features very childlike vocals from Cuushe. At 7 tracks and 34 minutes, this album feels like a short story, or maybe some sort of mini-opera. Not sure exactly what it’s about, but a sense of childlike wonder and nostalgic wistfulness pervades. - Foxy Digitalis

三重出身の音楽家・サクソフォン奏者金津朋幸の処女作。
クラシック、ジャズ、ファンク、ラテン…ジャンルを横断しながら培ったキャリアが生み出した作品は、思慮深く構築され、デビュー作にして既に名盤の風格を感じさせる。ストリングアレンジに波多野敦子、ボーカルにはMujika Easel、Cuusheなど実力派メンバーが数多く参加。ミックスにはFISHMANSやUA、ボアダムズなどを手がけた音の魔術師林皇志が全面参加し、独自の音空間を作り上げている。
日本的な旋律や情熱的なリズム、西洋的なハーモニーを同時に持ち合わせるという、多様でありながら不思議な統一感をもった作風は、しなやかでいて強く、懐かしくも聴き飽きない。季節をテーマにつくられた優しい叙情詩、美しい短編小説のような作品。
